    The invention relates to a grill for grilling large pieces of meat or large quantities of other food products according to the independent claim 1 and the dependent claims.
    For various reasons, grilling meat is nowadays proportioned into small pieces of meat, so that it can be seasoned and grilled easily and quickly according to individual preferences. Grilling large pieces of meat is time-consuming and requires specific know-how, both in preparation and when grilling. Since time immemorial, the so-called suckling pig (young pigs) has been popular because of its tender, light and mild flesh. The grilling of suckling pigs is usually done in the context of special festive occasions and is still a unique event today. Therefore, it is not common to be in possession of special and adapted barbecues for grilling suckling pigs. The creation of the corresponding grilling devices is usually spontaneous with the use of more or less technical aids. In a simple variant, place the skewer with the suckling pig over the embers and support it from the side. The skewer is turned manually, if necessary with the help of an electric motor. Due to the uniqueness of grilling large pieces of meat, this endeavor can also fail.
    In addition to the grilling large pieces of meat is now increasingly required the simultaneous provision of meatless food.
    Various grilling devices are known from the prior art.
    US 3,832,989 shows a grill with vertically arranged coal reservoir with an adjustable in height spit, which is driven by a motor. Comparable inventions are described in the published patent applications DE 4 122 698 A1 and DE 10 012 470 A1.
    The devices known from the prior art are characterized in particular by the fact that such grill devices are designed for grilling small pieces of meat. The largest devices known from the prior art are suitable for grilling poulets. All these devices have in common that the distance between grill food and heat sources either fixed or can be varied only in fixed predetermined levels. In some of the known grilling devices, the grilled food is grilled over the hot coals, which can lead to undesirable burns of the dripping fat or oil. This in turn can lead to unwanted or harmful residues on grill food.
    Except in the so-called mass production of grilled meat (especially for chicken), the energy efficiency of a grill plays only a minor role. A large part of the heat energy dissipates into the environment unused.
    The known from the prior art Grilliervorrichtungen prove in various ways for the grilling large pieces of meat as disadvantageous. On the one hand, these are not suitable for grilling large pieces of meat such as suckling pig. In this context, it proves to be disadvantageous that the distance between the grill food and the heat cassettes during grilling can not be adjusted continuously. For grilling large pieces of meat, it also proves to be disadvantageous that the rotational speed of the skewer and thus the rhythm for the heat exposure of the food to be grilled can not be varied. Another disadvantage of the prior art grilling devices for large pieces of meat is that for various reasons already finished grilled meat can only be kept warm until consumed in a separate holding furnace. Furthermore, the known from the prior art devices do not include opportunities to grilling, for example, next to the grill, for example, other small pieces of meat or vegetables or fruits to cook / steam on a large scale.
    It is therefore an object of the present invention to disclose a method and a device with which / r by adjusting and regulating various parameters, such as heat and speed, reliably best possible and fine grilled meats, especially suckling pigs of different sizes are produced within a short time can. Another object of the invention is to provide the device according to the invention with means to use this as a warming device or stewing or baking oven or grilling device for fruits and vegetables.
    This object is achieved with a device having the features of patent claim 1.

    Fig. 1 shows the inventive device from the front in an embodiment for receiving two heat cassettes 7 and with a frame 1. In the lower part of a drip tray 8 for collecting i dripping oil, fat and marinade is arranged. In the middle of a skewer 4 is attached to the intake of large pieces of meat such as suckling pig. This skewer 4 is received by a specially shaped receiving device 6, which is operatively connected to the side wall 14a. Above the two heat cassettes 7, a height-adjustable grill 13 and a hot plate 5a are arranged with a removable hot-holding hood 5b.
    The grill 13 above the coal cassettes 7 is used in particular for grilling and preparing smaller pieces of meat, vegetables and much more, which can then be served as appetizers or side dishes. The warming plate 5a is used primarily for keeping already grilled meat warm. Depending on requirements, the hot holding hood 5b can be placed on the hot plate 5a. The warming hood 5b has differently arranged chambers in an exemplary embodiment (not shown). This results in different temperature and humidity profiles in the chambers, which - in addition to keeping warm - also allows the damping of vegetables, etc. The heat retaining plate 5a proves to be particularly advantageous when preparing and proportioning large pieces of meat. From this hot plate 5a then the individual portions can be prepared or made available to guests for selection. Thus, it is unnecessary to provide the grilled pieces of meat in a separate holding box. With the device according to the invention, the meat pieces can thus be presented, as it were, simply and professionally.
    Both the hot plate 5a and the grill 13 are infinitely adjustable in height and so can be set different temperatures.
    On the side wall 14b arranged laterally, there is a drive device 2 and a corresponding control and regulating device 3 for the continuous rotary drive of the skewer. 4
    Detail A shows the receiving device 6 with two bolts 6.1, which serve as a guide for the adjacent skewer 4. This receiving device 6 can be fixed in a mounting slot 10 in the side wall 14a and moved continuously, so that the skewer 4 can be positioned depending on the circumstances very close to the embers or further away.
    Fig. 2 shows the inventive device in the view from above with the arrangement of the heat cassettes 7 on the rear side of the grill. Front is a front panel 16, so that the food to be grilled on all sides - except the top - is enclosed. With this arrangement, the cooking or grilling time for large pieces of meat can be markedly reduced (ie about 1-2 hours). The heat cassettes can either be filled with embers. Conceivable, however, are also other energy sources / forms such as electricity or gas or hot steam.
    Fig. 3 shows the device according to the invention in the view from the side. Marked on the side wall 14a is a sliding opening 9 for the skewer 4 and mounting slots 10 are mounted on the side wall 14b, the drive device 2 and the control and regulating device 3 with the skewer are connected and driving this rotating.
    Through the vertical slot in the sliding opening 9 of loaded with meat skewer can be moved obliquely and placed on the receiving device 6 with the two bolts 6.1. Thereafter, the skewer 4 can be moved with the i receiving device 6 in the sliding opening 9 and, for example, with two screws, which can be moved and fixed by the located in the lower part of the receiving device 6 holes in the mounting slot 10.
    When the skewer 4 is moved away from the vertical slot of the sliding opening 9 i, the skewer 4 is fixed in the receiving device 6 in a defined position and can not "turn out" of the receiving device 6 or fall out.
    In practical terms, the selected type of grill proves to be advantageous in other respects, because to increase the temperature or to improve the heat / energy efficiency of the grill with a closure plate 15 can be covered. In this way, then 4 different temperature profiles can be set in the axial direction of the skewer, which proves to be very advantageous especially for large pieces of meat. This closure plate 15 can of course be provided with so-called. Ventilation slots or equivalent devices.
    Instead of the use of skewers 4, the grilling device with baskets (not shown here) are provided, which contain, for example chestnuts or fruits. By attachment of the closure plate 15, the grill is suitable in this way for the grilling of fruits, chestnuts, etc.
